Compliments to the above subject and reference- (1) to state that as per the letter dated for the academic year 2021-22, the days of the academic session, details of the date of the examination, instructions about the examination, days of vacation, details of public holidays as well as details of the date of board examination as well as academic year. Instructions regarding the syllabus from 1st to 12th for 2021 have been sent by the office here. The said letter also contains instructions regarding the method of examination to be taken in the academic year 2021-22. In order to reduce the stress of students, a decision has been taken by the Government to change the existing system of Std-9 to 12 examinations in the academic year 2021-22. Which will have to be implemented as shown below.
In standard 9, 10, 11 (science stream general stream), 12 (general stream) examination question paper, the proportion of objective questions was fixed at 20% and the proportion of descriptive questions was fixed at 80%. The standard is fixed to be 70%. Students will have to write the answers to the objective questions in the standard-9, 10, 11 (science stream general stream) 12 (general stream) examination in the answer book only, in which there is no OMR, only standard-12 (vs. Q.) 50% MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions) (OMR method) and 50% descriptive questions will remain the same. In addition, in the question papers of Std.
The Gujarat Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has taken up the aforesaid changes for the standard-9 to 12 merit per chapter and the structure and format of the question paper.
Details will be reported shortly. The above matter will have to be implemented in the second test of Std-9 and 11 taken in January-2022, in the prelim examination of Std-10 and 12 and in the school annual examination of Std-9 and 11 as well as in the annual examination held by the board of Std-10 and 12. Take note of which.
